Z Zero not working?

Guest 2021-3-10 1309

Greetings all.  I am new to the UV 3D printer world, and am finding it rather interesting.  I have had a regulr PLA type 3D printer for a few years now and thought that the UV was the next logical step.  The problem that I am having is that when I go to start a new pring the head lowers down into the acrylic, but wants to continue down.  The machince does not seem to be finding the Z stop for depth.  I printed out the Rook sample that came with the Elegooo printer without much of a problem.  (I say much, because my first attemp failed miserably - operator error!).  My question here is: 1) is this a common error & 2) how do I fix it.

TIA for the help

Tim

An obvious question is; have you adjusted and calibrated the build-plate per the instructions in the printer's manual?
