It would be extremely helpful to have an option to do an erosion on the base layers to account for side scattering. It would be very easy to implement with openCV's erode function or just about any image processing library.

Having this configurable for a certain number of pixels or mm would be useful- I usually account for at least .5mm of sidescattering on the baselayers if I'm trying to get precision.
