since the update on 8.1 Cura can no longer open any files due to setting made in lastest update 

acording to Cura trobuble shoting 

With 4.9, cura moved to the same Qt version as Chitubox. The changes that chitubox made make it impossible for all other Qt based applications to open file dialogs.
