I have been dealing with an issue where I closed the program and tried to reopen it only for it to respond with "Chitubox has stopped working". I have tried reinstalling, rerouting, and attempting compatiblity troubleshooting but no progress was being made. I can get it to open when I start my computer in Safe Mode but it is slow and doesn't display some features due to the reduced permissions. I investigated some of the threads here and found another user who had the same issue and it was recommeneded that they delete the Chitubox folder in their AppData folder but when I attempted this it made no difference.
