Why can't find printer in "Network sending"

Guest 7 Months+ 2114

Dear community,

I'm reaching out on behalf of a friend who needs assistance with Chitubox Basic 1.9.4 on Windows 11. He is using an ANYCUBIC Photon M3 Plus and wants to utilize the "Network sending" feature to send files to the printer. However, despite adding the printer in the settings, it does not appear in the drop-down menu within this feature. I have attached some screenshots for reference.

Here's what we have already checked and tried:

  • The printer is connected to the LAN, and the computer running Chitubox can successfully ping the printer's IP address.
  • The ANYCUBIC Photon M3 Plus has a functioning storage medium (USB/SD card) inserted.
  • Both the printer's firmware and Chitubox version are up-to-date.
  • File and printer sharing feature in Windows is enabled for the computer's profile.
  • Disabling the Windows firewall for Chitubox did not result in any changes.
  • We have tried to determine the printer's workgroup, but it remains unidentified (although the PC is in the "q edge WORKGROUP").
  • Printing works fine when files are transferred directly from the connected storage medium to the printer, bypassing the "Network sending" feature.
  • Reinstalling Chitubox, including a Windows restart, did not resolve the issue. The printer was powered on during the second installation attempt.

If you have any insights or ideas, we would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Thank you in advance, and have a wonderful day!

Best regards

It seems like you've covered a lot of troubleshooting steps already. Since your issue persists, I recommend checking if there are any specific compatibility requirements between Chitubox Basic 1.9.4 and ANYCUBIC Photon M3 Plus for the "Network sending" feature. Additionally, ensure that your printer's network settings align with those expected by Chitubox.
