When idle, Chitubox consumes CPU 50% and GPU 85%-Troubleshooting and Bug Reports-CHITUBOX Community

Hello,

I am running Chitubox v1.8.1 on a Macbook Pro 15in 2016 (i7 2.7GHz, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 460 4GB) on MacOS BigSur v11.4.

Once I start Chitubox, with no model open it starts to consume around 50% CPU and over 85% GPU and it stays at this minimum whatever I do.

What is going on?!???!?

I believe it's that damned QT environment--they do seem to even try to maintain any compatibility between versions--each new release breaks everything that came before it...
